It’s been a few days since the Tater Trot Tracker was updated. I would say that I’ve been hacked, but I don’t think Cardinals fans would believe me. Let’s get to the trots!
Home Run of the Day: Brock Holt, Boston Red Sox – 17.98 seconds [video]
The young second baseman becomes the first member of the Red Sox to hit for the cycle since 1996. In this case, he does it in style with one of the speedier trots so far of the season.
I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention this exemplary staredown from Carlos Gonzalez following his blast to right field. The trot clocked in at 25.51 seconds, unsurprisingly.
Slowest Trot: Justin Turner, Los Angeles Dodgers – 26.67 seconds [video]
Turner beats out Chris Davis (who hit one of the O’s eight home runs on Tuesday) and Carlos Gonzalez for the day’s slowest trot.
Quickest Trot: Brad Miller, Seattle Mariners – 17.24 seconds [video]
Now this is refreshing! Brad Miller wins the day with this 17.24 second trot, but he wasn’t alone in the 17-second club. That’s a rare thing for this season so far.
