Trot Times for June 27, 2014

A late start to the weekend, so let’s get right to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels – 21.76 seconds [video]
Considering that this ball was hit in Kansas City’s Kaufman Stadium but landed in Lake Michigan, the reported distance of 489 feet seems off. Still, it’s the longest home run in the American League since the start of the Hit Tracker Online era.

Slowest Trot: Brian McCann, New York Yankees – 26.47 seconds [video]
A “race” between McCann and Dioner Navarro (26.14 seconds) for the slowest trot of the day.

Quickest Trot: Brett Gardner, New York Yankees – 17.76 seconds [video]
Thankfully, Gardner was around for the Yankees to take a bit of McCann’s sting away with this top-notch trot.
