Your early leaders in the 2014 home run sweepstakes are Brandon Belt and Alejandro de Aza, who each hit their third home runs of the young season on Thursday. It’s all playing out just as everyone foretold.

Home Run of the Day: Coco Crisp, Oakland Athletics – 18.24 seconds [video]
12th inning walkoff home run! Crisp hustled around the bases, arm raised in victory, before racing through his teammates, who surrounded the plate in celebration. That’s always a better choice than jumping onto plate and breaking your leg.
Slowest Trot: Adam Dunn, Chicago White Sox – 24.48 seconds [video]
Adam Dunn home runs — this one a shot into the right field bleachers — are almost enough to make putting up with a Hawk Harrelson home run call worth it. Almost.
Quickest Trot: Coco Crisp, Oakland Athletics – 18.24 seconds [video]
Though Crisp gets the credit, he ended in a virtual tie with San Francisco’s Angel Pagan, who completed his trot in 18.27 seconds. Pagan’s home run was much prettier, however, landing far into the second deck of Chase Field.
