Trot Times for June 8, 2013

Just a quick look today (unlike a certain Boston designated hitter)…

Home Run of the Day: Kris Medlen, Atlanta Braves – 22.57 seconds [video]
A 2-1 victory for the Braves powered, in part, by the first career home run for starting pitcher Kris Medlen.

Slowest Trot: David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox – 29.59 seconds [video]
You know we here at the Tater Trot Tracker love a Big Papi trot, but you have to wonder exactly what the league thinks with every 29-second trot…

Quickest Trot: Kyle Blanks, San Diego Padres – 19.47 seconds [video]
This title actually belongs to Milwaukee's Jean Segura, who finished his trot somewhere in the 17-18 second range, but thanks to a choice by the Fox network, there is no video of when Segura crossed home plate.
