Trot Times for June 14, 2013

A quick look at the 14 trots around the majors on Friday.

Home Run of the Day: Chris Young, Oakland Athletics – 21.68 seconds [video]
Jay Bruce had the walkoff home run for the Reds out in Cincinnati, but this bomb from Chris Young at the Coliseum is the one we'll remember.

Slowest Trot: J.P. Arencibia, Toronto Blue Jays – 24.68 seconds [video]
Sometimes there just aren't too many options for slowest trot of the day…

Quickest Trot: Gregor Blanco, San Francisco Giants – 18.58 seconds [video]
A leadoff home run for Blanco, his first blast of the year. It may be surprising, but Blanco is almost always at the top of these lists.

About Larry Granillo

Larry Granillo has been writing Wezen Ball since 2008 and has dealt with such touchy topics as Charlie Brown's baseball stats and Ferris Bueller's day off. In 2010, he got the bright idea to time every home run trot in baseball; he has been missing ever since.
