Two games yesterday, two wins from teams that we’re supposed to win. That’s the kind of thing we’re looking for every October.

The Giants and Phillies play Game 2 tonight and, if last night is any indication, we can probably expect three home runs from Travis Ishikawa or something. Should be fun.

Today’s tater trots should be posted shortly after they occur in the game. Be sure to check back often. And follow me on Twitter for other thoughts about today’s games.

Giants vs. Phillies

Game 2

Cody Ross, San Francisco Giants – 21.62 seconds (Season average: 21.96 seconds): What the…?! Cody Ross again! He breaks up Oswalt’s no-hitter in the fifth and puts the Giants on the board with one swing. Giants’ fans have to be feeling pretty good about Ross right now.

About Larry Granillo

Larry Granillo has been writing Wezen Ball since 2008 and has dealt with such touchy topics as Charlie Brown's baseball stats and Ferris Bueller's day off. In 2010, he got the bright idea to time every home run trot in baseball; he has been missing ever since.
