Home Run of the Day: Carlos Corporan, Houston Astros – 20.23 seconds [video]
This blast broke up Yu Darvish's no-hit bid in the eighth inning. Corporan sprinted hard around the bases, but his trot clocked in at more than 20 seconds thanks to the moments he took admiring the blast out of the box.
Slowest Trot: Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers – 24.64 seconds [video]
Is Miggy *ever* going to stop hitting home runs? I get the feeling that he won't. Cabrera's trot barely edges out (quick-for-them) trots from Chris Davis (24.53 seconds) and Billy Butler (24.46 seconds).
Quickest Trot: Adam Eaton, Arizona Diamondbacks – 17.14* seconds [video]
This is pretty sweet. A walkoff homer coming in so fast that he ends up with the quickest trot of the day. Watching the video, you can see Eaton turn on the afterburners once the ball clears the fence. Great to see. It would have probably been one of the quickest trots of the year if Eaton didn't have to worry about the scrum of D-backs players hanging out at home plate.
