These are the types of days where I regret starting the Tater Trot Tracker. Sometimes MLB.tv just doesn’t want to cooperate. It can be a little much… But it’s what I asked for, so I’ll just shut up now.

In the non-Teixeira category, the home run of the day belongs to Chicago’s A.J. Pierzynski, who crushed a three run blast in the top of the ninth to put the White Sox ahead 4-1 with Manny Ramirez waiting in the on-deck circle. His trot came in at a leisurely 25.77 seconds (video).

Slowest Trot: Vladimir Guerrero, Texas Rangers – 26.89 seconds [video]
It’s always a good day when Vlad Guerrero goes deep for the Rangers, even if that almost always means that we have the slowest trot of the day wrapped up. Ryan Howard also had a huge bomb yesterday, his first home run since July 27. He didn’t waste the trot, taking a cool 26.13 seconds to round the bases.
Quickest Trot: Andres Torres, San Francisco Giants – 18.19 seconds [video]
Not only was this Torres shot easily the quickest trot of the night, but it also gave the Giants the lead in the eighth inning. The next quickest trot of the night belonged to Texas’ Michael Young, who came in with an 18.45 second trot.
