Announcing the new Tater Trot Tracker!

Well, not really “new.” The Tater Trot Tracker is the same as it ever was (for good or ill), but we do have this sweet new website design (and URL) to look at!For years now, the Tracker has been either a part of Wezen-Ball or Baseball Prospectus. That was never a bad thing, of course, but it wasn’t perfect. For example, someone could type in TaterTrotTracker.com into their web browser and be taken to a page with a giant Wezen-Ball logo — it had to be a bit confusing. But now, with that amazing new banner on the front page and a revamped archive system, it all just makes sense.

You’ll find every Tater Trot Tracker post from Wezen-Ball located in the Archives above, organized by season. In the 2010 archives, for example, you’ll find David Ortiz being slow and Adam Rosales being fast. I’m doing my best to change old links to point to the new site, but it’s entirely possible that you’ll find yourself linked back to Wezen-Ball from time to time. The pages do still exist over there so you won’t get too lost, but it might be a bit confusing. My apologies if that happens.

Starting today, though, everything Tater Trot Tracker-related can be found here at TaterTrotTracker.com. It’s a novel concept, but I think it just may work!

About Larry Granillo

Larry Granillo has been writing Wezen Ball since 2008 and has dealt with such touchy topics as Charlie Brown's baseball stats and Ferris Bueller's day off. In 2010, he got the bright idea to time every home run trot in baseball; he has been missing ever since.
