Did David Ortiz have yet another 30-second tater trot?

Do you even have to ask?

See David Ortiz’s fourth 30-second trot of 2014 here.

Today’s trot — in the third inning at Target Field — clocked in at 30.21 seconds. While this is technically the quickest 30-second trot of the Tater Trot Tracker era (beating out a pair of 30.3 second trots from Papi and Hanley Ramirez), it’s still Ortiz’s fourth such trot of this season alone. No other player has more than one.

But, hey, it’s Big Papi! Slow trots are par for the course — and now 30-second trots are too!

About Larry Granillo

Larry Granillo has been writing Wezen Ball since 2008 and has dealt with such touchy topics as Charlie Brown's baseball stats and Ferris Bueller's day off. In 2010, he got the bright idea to time every home run trot in baseball; he has been missing ever since.
